He's not a friend of mine, neither of us know each other. I just want to talk about his songs.
I cannot say he has a particularly good voice, but his songs can touch your inner heart, just like pulling out vague unseen feelings hiden for long. Same as the name of his albums, those songs are just his travelogues, his stories of his way. So maybe because he sang with his own experiences, telling us his own stories, which makes his songs so lively. No incredible lyrics poetically describing love or friendship or life. Simple sentences, and just because lyrics are simple, we can find it somewhat similar to what we had experienced.
Prague maybe a too romantic place, where always links people up with sorrow. Whenever I listen to the song 'Back to Prague', I always wonder what had happened to him over there? Notwithstanding the stage of this story, those questions asked in the song are always the questions I would like to ask. Once he said whenever he sings this song on the stage, he will cry and he really did.
People are always searching for what they want. After a few times people will feel disappointed if they cannot get the thing they want. So why not just try to sit and wait, wait for the thing you want to come to find you?
That's his idea. I like it the most and I also want to try to do so. But I cannot. That's pessimistic.
