Venice

Saw Venice on Global Trekker tonight. I visited it once after graduation. The Grand Canal is as busy as before, tourists are flooding through bridges as before, it is as fascinating as before. It is overwhelming.

I still remember at the time I gave up the map and just walked and walked, with a piece of Margherita. No map then you would never get lost. The smell of pizza was ever the appetizing one in my memory.

I didn't have money to have a ride on a Gondola, just jumped on and off the water bus without paying a penny. People said Gondola is romantic. Well it depends on whom you are traveling with. But I believe it is the Italian who have honey on their lips decorate this place as a wonderful destination of love.

No word can ever describe this city. Too crowded with lousy tourists? Put on you headphones and play your favourite music will do. Or if you are too devoted to your partner, I bet you cannot hear any noise a pity bit.

I hope I can have a chance to travel there before it sinks under the water. I so much want to see the sunset at Basilica of St. Mark again. But I would never want to sit at the river bank alone agian.
