How do we treat our friends? We feel blissful when they are happy, we feel sympathetic towards their sadness. That is nothing more than usual. Someone said God's love is remote and unreachable, but when we see how Jesus treats us, we know that our relationship is actually as closed as friends. When we are sad, we are consoled, so when we feel grateful, we should say thanks in return. That's just like a friendship.
Someone once asked how should we do good to Jesus and He answered, whenever we do good to needy as if we are treating our friends, we are doing good to him.
