Advent

"We call it Christmas when the Advent begins."

It's time for us to prepare for His coming. Decoration of Christmas is everywhere that comes far earlier than the Advent, for the sake of marketing. Nonetheless it reminds us His coming, with heart warmed joy and happiness. Why Christmas should be full of joy and gratefulness? Because not it is time for shopping, but time to remember how great the grace we receive on the day when He comes. His coming, with the message of love, cleanse our exhausted hearts to prepare for a brighter new year.

We have to be watchful, as yet we do not know when will be His second coming. Bear in mind the joy that he brought us, and also His Word that guide us all the way until He comes again.

***
Jesus said to his disciples:“Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come.
It is like a man traveling abroad. He leaves home and places his servants in charge, each with his own work, and orders the gatekeeper to be on the watch.
Watch, therefore; you do not know when the Lord of the house is coming, whether in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or in the morning.
May he not come suddenly and find you sleeping.
What I say to you, I say to all: ‘Watch!’”
(Mk 13:33-37)
