If we wish

Healing a leper in the Gospel symbolizes many things. Love with no discrimination, that either clean or unclean deserve God's grace, God's power over sin, faith in God's love and so on.

But one question has already been on my mind: why Jesus asked the leper not to tell anyone about his miracle?

Today I've got the answer. It is because Jesus didn't want us to rely on a sign from Him. His Love has no sign but faith. Demand for a sign, a miracle, would draw us to the superstition of believing in wondrous works, rather than His true message of love through healing a leper.

For the truly faithful, no miracle is necessary; for those who must doubt, no miracle is sufficient.

If His wish, we will be saved and He do will it. If we wish, we will be healed. Do we will it?

If we wish and His will be done.
