Sunday morning and evening

I use to wake up earlier on Sunday. Hold a mug of cocoa and go out to look at the sky in the morning. It's all quiet and peaceful. It's clearly white and the sun is shining bright overhead. I dare not look at it directly. It's fearful, it's powerful but it's warm and it's good to us. It marks the beginning of a beautiful day.

Coming out from the swimming pool the sky is getting darker. It's time to go home and wave to the sunset.

This time, make an earl grey tea, add some Canadian honey and it warms me up in the evening breeze.

It isn't that cold, as the sun is shining on me straight from the west. It's all quiet and peaceful. Its brightness is milder and tenderly embracing me, it's generous and draws me closer. It's the only time I can look at him directly without lowering my eyes. There's no fear, like a direct talk to God. The sky is clear, until the western skyline is painted in cherry pink and mandarin.

It's getting colder, because my tea is gone.
3rd Sunday of Lent:
Lent tends to pass all too quickly. We cannot let it go by and be satisfied only with giving up something. Lent also offers us a positive opportunity to relrect on our many relationships, especially with those closest to us. Repentance challenges us to look deeply into our own selves and root out whatever self-centeredness keeps us from receiving God's mercy and compassion and from offering forgiveness to, or seeking it from others.
