Trailwalker - Practice

So excited when we set off at night, 11.30pm on Friday. The first time I hiked in the dark. One hand with my walking stick, one hand with a torch. We could see nothing ahead, but just walked step by step. Nothing to lose. The moon and stars were so bright to shine on our way.

LEFT:
Sat down at the station after finishing the first 15km in 4 hours. We actually walked quite fast in the dark. Teammates were getting pale and exhausted. I was chilled when I sat down, as I sweated all over my jumper. The night, was so peaceful.

RIGHT:
The sky was getting bright when we started with the 2nd trail. 16km to go. Early morning is so beautiful that cannot be described by any words. Clouds floated on the rice fields quietly. The nature was wide, the sky was even wider to surround the endless mountain tops.

LEFT:
Picture taken at the point we headed to a wrong way. All we could see were mountains after mountains. It was amazing. I felt like I were in Swiss.

RIGHT:
On the wrong way. Couldn't believe that we were at such a high level on the mountain. But still, 400m more for us to climb...towards the end of the sky.

LEFT:
The sandy slope was somewhat 70 degrees steep, I took one breath and climbed all the way till I couldn't breathe, and then back myself up at a tree. Took a rest, then rushed again. I took this picture when I saw my teammates striving at my back. I made it!

RIGHT:
After the killing slope, we had to climb 2 more mountains on the last trail. For the first one it runs alongside with a road. Amazing infrastructure but just one or two cars were running on it. It looks like a way leading to heaven.

LEFT:
We made it! The highest level for the whole trail. 1320.2m. We reached the sky!

RIGHT:
On the top of the last mountain we climbed. Looking down the whole Lake Yamanaka. The strong breeze was going to blow me down the slope towards the water!!

Can't believe I could make it through even though it was my first time to walk for 45km in 15 hours. For the real walk it will be 100km and I am sure I can make it too.

I was kind of surprised by myself as I never knew I was that tough mentally and physically.

The harder the trail was, the stronger was my determination to get it through. "Look out! I'm going to get it through!" I was always yelling in my heart. But still, I was kind of afraid of snakes and insects...

What's more, regular work out really helps.

I was leading the walk all the way. People was amazed that why I could walk so fast from the beginning till the end, without any sign of slowing down, or even getting faster!

I never feel any pain or sore of my legs on the next day!
