Life without love (2) - Single is a crime

Haha, I'm not going to an extreme but it's such a funny conclusion came up from a random chat with a friend. We both are single.

My funny friend complained that when she was out on the streets, couples always squeezed her. Well, I believe if you were with your dream guy on the street, you would definitely squeeze me without notice. But for sure it is absolutely not a pleasure experience, I understand. The followings are other examples we jealously threw out:

Movie/ Concert:
- Tried to get ticket of Shrek 3 premier show, but only accept application of couples. OK.
- Tried to get free ticket of a whatever classical music concert, but only accpet application of couples, again. OK.

That's why I love online purchase of movie tickets. That's an excellent invention of the century.

Restaurant:
- Searched on web for some restaurants, not really dining out but find that most of them are offering free desserts or discounts to table-for-two only.
- Remember some restaurants don't even entertain 1-person customer.

So my dine out list only limits to Macs, MOS burger or some random restaurants with counter seats, make sure I won't occupy a table for-two.

Economically, we rather suggest that discount should be given to single people to encourage not to be an Otaku and come out from their caves and spend. It's good for the economy. Single may have a higher purchasing power that restaurants, shops and movie houses can even ignore...

What's more, we are the group which need to be comforted by discount, for those couples even you just gave them water they will still tip you. We need the discount to comfort our sorrow to dine alone.

Haha, all the above are just crazy thoughts from two envious mind.

Luckily we concluded that single is a crime, not a sin, hehe.

Being single is a crime, but being single in Tokyo is less painful than in HK, I think. At least dining out by yourself is not deemed to be odd. I can't have a good lunch/dinner by myself in HK. Never. On many weekends in the past, I just could not find anywhere to eat after office on Sats, and often ended up with fastfood. Treating yourself fastfood after a week's hardwork is... cool :(
